POSE PORTAL LOGINPOSE: Ensuring Evidence-Based Use of Opioid Settlement Funds in New York and New Jersey
A project made possible through a grant from the Open Society Foundation
Doctors for Drug Policy Reform (D4DPR) is recruiting clinicians and scientists to advocate for the evidence-based and health-centered use of opioid settlement funds.
This work is urgent. Billions of dollars are being distributed across the country, but too often these funds are diverted to programs unrelated to opioid use or overdose. Our goal is to help shift these resources toward strategies that truly save lives—reducing overdose, expanding access to care, and addressing deep-rooted health inequities.
We are currently focused on advocacy efforts in New York and New Jersey, in partnership with leading grassroots organizations working to ensure that opioid settlement spending reflects the needs of the communities most affected.
